Degenerative disc disease:

While BioSynchronistics treatment will not ‘stop’ degenerative disc disease from progressing, it can help with the symptoms that you may experience with degenerative disc disease. Often, tightness in the fascial and muscular systems can strain the spine, further compressing discs and aggravating existing nerve issues. BioSynchronistics treatment will work to reduce these pulls with gradual and gentle releases to restore spinal alignment and decompression of the discs

Orthopedic Surgery:

Following orthopedic surgery, surgeons typically provide patients with a packet containing exercises and timelines outlining limitations/restrictions. At Quality Physical Therapy, we can assist not only with following protocols but also provide a BioSynchronistics treatment, which will improve alignment to maximize outcomes for range of motion and pain. At QPT, we do not use machines; instead, we work with you on exercises using hand weights, body weight, and resistance bands to improve mobility and strength.

Pelvic Obliquity:

Pelvic obliquity is a postural condition where the pelvis is tilted, or one side of the pelvis is higher than the other. This can lead to leg length discrepancy, scoliotic posture patterns, and pain. BioSynchronistics treatments will work to improve the position of the pelvis and restore alignment in order to reduce pain and correct postural differences

Prenatal and Postnatal care:

Pregnant individuals may experience prenatal and postnatal symptoms such as pain, incontinence, diastasis recti, and difficulty with return to exercise. At QPT, therapists would utilize BioSynchronistic techniques to reduce pain from your changing body, such as low back pain, round ligament pain, hip pain, broad ligament pain, and more. We would also provide appropriate exercises and education based on prenatal or post-natal stages for both strengthening and incontinence training.

Rheumatoid Arthritis:

While BioSynchronistics treatment will not ‘stop’ arthritis, it can help with the symptoms that you may experience with arthritis. Often, tightness in the fascial and muscular systems can strain the joints and surrounding structures, further compressing the joint space and the nerves embedded within.  BioSynchronistics treatment will help reduce these pulls through gradual, gentle releases to restore alignment and decompression of the joint space.

Scar Tissue:

Therapists at QPT utilize a technique called ScarWork. Scar Work was created by Sharon Wheeler and aims to reintegrate scar tissue into the fascial network. Scars can be both external and internal, and can create fractures in the fascial web, restricting blood flow, nerve conductivity, and musculoskeletal function.
